as it should be

it is once again
four strings
just threads

back into
fall away
then go forward

horsehair
and gut wrapped in
nickel-steel

aroma
French
rosin
beeswax

1965 in
Kodachrome hue
faded

leather book
broken at the
spline

i smashed my thumb

i smashed my thumb
nailing shingles to the
shed roof
it hurts
so fucking much
as it
bleeds

throbbing
pain resides
and I'm still
alive in spite of
myself
today

waiting for snowfall

waiting for snowfall
the cold penetrates
the space behind
my eyes
the solitude
reminds
me
of
a quite time
behind my eyes
waiting for snowfall
tears just might freeze

John Holt: Unschooling in America (part 1)

Who is John Holt?
John Holt is an American educator and author who promotes the idea of "Unschooling". Unschooling is student-led learning: the student learns what needs to be learned at the time it needs to be learned. When's that? Well, it depends upon the individual learner, of course. Try reading his book: "How Children Fail", if you have even an ounce of compassion, you should find this book invaluable.

I wasn't really back...

...but it seems like now I am.
