Henry Mancini : Greatest Hits

Being that I am still alive on planet Earth, I decided to purchase a new cd: Henry Mancini Greatest Hits.

Well, it's not really a NEW new cd...but, it is new to my cd collection. When I moved back to California from Missouri, I sold the major part of my lp collection to some scumfuck Missouri record dealer in Joplin. He , of course, shit himself when he looked at my Mancini lp soundtrack collection: Peter Gunn, Mr. Lucky, Hatari, A Shot in the Dark, etceteras. Of course, I sold them all for pennies on the dollar. Gas money beacuase Califonia is a long-ass drive from Missouri.

This new cd Greatest Hits is pretty GREAT...even though it doesn't have one of my favorite tunes: Fallout! (that one may still be only on lp...so what can you do?)

The highlights of this cd, however, makes it worth every penny: Peter Gunn, Mr. Lucky, Moon River, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Experiment in Terror, Charade, Pink Panther , A Shot in the Dark, Hatari, Theme from (Zifferelli's) Romeo and Juliet and even the theme from What's Happening!!

Behold the Master: Mr. Mancini's genius shines eternal...
